Every world needs a map. VOIDEX began as a private messenger and has grown into something larger: a connected universe of places to talk, publish, watch, collect, search and explore, all built around one idea. What is yours stays yours.

We call that universe the Voidverse, or the Void Universe. This guide is its map. Each section below defines one part of the Voidverse in plain language, explains how it fits with the rest, and points you to where you can learn more. Bookmark it, share it, and come back whenever a new word appears.

The Void

The Void is the space VOIDEX lives in: deep black, quiet, lit by distant stars. It is both an aesthetic and a promise. In the Void, your private conversations are not watched, your searches are not sold, and your attention is not auctioned to advertisers. The name reflects the goal: a place where the noise of the ordinary internet falls away. You will see the Void throughout VOIDEX, from the starfield behind Space on desktop to Deep Space, the home of Ask VOIDEX.

VOIDEX

VOIDEX is an invite-only, end-to-end encrypted platform owned by CNOTA. It brings together private messaging, channels, a social space, short video, a collectibles market and private search. VOIDEX is free and will remain free. There are no ads, no third-party trackers or ad pixels, no selling of data, and nobody can pay for reach. The Voidverse

The Voidverse, also called the Void Universe, is the name for the whole VOIDEX ecosystem taken together. Messenger, Channels, Space, Orbits, Market, Ask VOIDEX and everything around them are not separate apps stitched together. They share one account, one design language and one set of principles about privacy. When we talk about the Voidverse, we mean the complete experience of living inside VOIDEX.

VOIDEX Messenger

VOIDEX Messenger is the private heart of the Voidverse. It offers one-to-one and group chats, voice and video calls, voice notes, media, files and reactions. You can edit a message within 15 minutes, delete a message for everyone, set disappearing messages, and control screenshots on a per-chat basis.

Direct messages use a hybrid post-quantum key agreement that combines X25519 with ML-KEM-768, followed by a double ratchet with post-quantum re-keying, so each message has its own key. Identity signatures pair Ed25519 with ML-DSA-65. Group chats use MLS, the IETF standard defined in RFC 9420. Calls use WebRTC with DTLS-SRTP, with the call setup sealed under the conversation key and relayed through VOIDEX's own relay. Keys are created on your devices, and VOIDEX's servers hold only public keys and ciphertext.

Key transparency

Key transparency is how you can trust that the key you are encrypting to belongs to the right person. Every device key change in VOIDEX is appended to a public, append-only log built in the style of Certificate Transparency, with tree heads signed by Ed25519 and ML-DSA-65. Clients refuse keys that are not in the log, anyone can audit it through public endpoints, and an independent witness watches it. Read the full explanation in key transparency.

The recovery code

Every VOIDEX member has a recovery code that opens their message history on a new device. VOIDEX never holds it, which means nobody at VOIDEX can use it, and a lost code cannot be restored by anyone. The encrypted history copy is deliberately not forward-secret, because that is what allows the code to open the past, and members can switch history off. Learn more in own your keys.

VOIDEX Channels

VOIDEX Channels are shared rooms for communities, teams and interests. There are two kinds. Private channels are end-to-end encrypted with MLS, so only members can read them. Public channels are open to read and are not end-to-end encrypted, because they are meant to be seen, and VOIDEX labels them clearly. Channels can hold text and voice rooms, making them a home for anything from a small working group to a public community.

VOIDEX Space

VOIDEX Space is the social side of the Voidverse: a feed of posts, photos, videos and conversation. Public Space posts are not end-to-end encrypted, because they are meant to be seen, and VOIDEX labels them as public. Media is cleaned before it goes public: images are re-encoded, which removes EXIF data such as GPS location, and videos have capture metadata such as GPS, device model and creation time stripped. Energy

Energy is VOIDEX's word for a like. When you appreciate a post or a comment in Space or Orbits, you give it Energy. It is a small word choice that reflects a larger idea: attention given freely, by people, rather than engagement harvested for advertisers.

Face and Phantom

Every member of VOIDEX Space has two identities. Your Face is your public self, shown with your @username. Your Phantom is your anonymous self. You can post, comment and take part as either one.

VOIDEX never publishes a link between a Phantom and the person behind it. Phantom content is stored under the Phantom only, and a Phantom's public link can be regenerated at any time. Honor

Honor is the score every Phantom carries. Because a Phantom is anonymous, reputation has to come from somewhere other than a name, and Honor is that signal. It gives anonymity a conscience: you can speak freely as your Phantom, and your conduct still shapes how the community sees you.

VOIDEX Orbits

VOIDEX Orbits is full-screen short video inside the Voidverse. Swipe through clips, give Energy, comment and follow creators, in a space that shares the same privacy principles as the rest of VOIDEX: no ads between videos and no trackers following you from clip to clip.

VOIDEX Market

VOIDEX Market is where members collect. It offers digital collectibles and cosmetics bought with VOIDEX Points. The Market is built around three collections, described below, plus cosmetics that let members personalise how they appear.

Astro Phantoms

Astro Phantoms are the original VOIDEX collectibles: distinctive characters that members can collect, trade and wear as the picture of their Phantom.

Cosmic Bears

Cosmic Bears are a second collection in VOIDEX Market, sold and traded alongside the Astro Phantoms, with a look all of their own.

Void Artifacts

Void Artifacts are objects found in the Void. A new selection of Void Artifacts appears in the Market each week, so there is always something new to discover.

VOIDEX Points

VOIDEX Points are the currency of the Market. They are earned by taking part in VOIDEX and spent on collectibles and cosmetics. Points cannot be bought with money or crypto, and VOIDEX has no token or coin. That is deliberate: status in the Voidverse comes from participation, not from a bank balance.

Ask VOIDEX

Ask VOIDEX is private search. When you search, your query reaches the web through VOIDEX, so websites and search engines never see who is asking. Ask VOIDEX gives you normal search results alongside a written answer from PULSE, with sources you can check. Your search history is encrypted with a key that only your devices hold. Deep Space

Deep Space is the home of Ask VOIDEX: a black starfield with a single search field. When you ask a question, you send a pulse into the web, and the answer comes back to you through the Void. It is the calmest search screen we could design, with nothing to distract you and nothing watching you.

PULSE

PULSE is VOIDEX's own intelligence. It writes the answers you see in Ask VOIDEX, reading sources and citing them so you can see where each answer comes from. PULSE is part of VOIDEX itself rather than a third-party chatbot bolted on, which fits the same principle as everything else in the Voidverse: your questions stay inside the Void.

Space Notes

Space Notes are how web pages look inside the Voidverse. When you open a page from Ask VOIDEX, it appears as a clean Space Note: the text you came for, without the trackers or ads that usually surround it. Space Notes can be collected, so the pages worth keeping become part of your own personal archive.

Void Exploration

Void Exploration is the practice of exploring the web privately through Ask VOIDEX and Deep Space. You search without being identified, read pages as clean Space Notes, and collect what matters. It is browsing without leaving a trail of profiles and pixels behind you, and it is one of the quieter luxuries of the Voidverse.

World News

World News brings current headlines from around the world into VOIDEX Space, where members can read and discuss them. It is a way to stay informed inside the Voidverse without leaving for a news site full of trackers.

Apps

VOIDEX runs on the web at voidex.com, and as desktop apps for Windows and Mac. The Windows app includes an in-game overlay, so you can stay in touch without leaving your game. iPhone and Android apps are coming. VOIDEX is available in nine languages. See the VOIDEX apps page for details.

Domains

The official home of VOIDEX is voidex.com, and voidex.us is also an official VOIDEX domain. When you share a VOIDEX link, or look for VOIDEX on the web, these are the addresses to trust.

CNOTA

CNOTA is the company that owns VOIDEX. It sits behind the Voidverse as its governing entity, and its decision to keep VOIDEX free, invite-only and free of advertising is what makes the rest of this guide possible.

How it all fits together

The Voidverse is easiest to understand as a set of circles. At the centre is VOIDEX Messenger, fully private and post-quantum encrypted. Around it are Channels, private or public by your choice. Beyond that is VOIDEX Space and Orbits, where you can be seen as your Face or speak freely as your Phantom. The Market adds collecting, powered by Points you earn rather than buy. And Ask VOIDEX, from Deep Space, lets you explore the wider web without being followed.

Every part follows the same rules. What is private is end-to-end encrypted, with keys on your devices. What is public is labelled as public. Nothing is funded by selling you. And every claim about security is written down, specifically, in the VOIDEX security report, with the cryptographic core open for anyone to inspect. A universe by invitation

The Voidverse is not built for everyone at once. It grows by invitation, one member at a time, which is part of what keeps it calm, safe and worth belonging to.
