VOIDEX Orbits: Full-Screen Short Video Without the Ad Tech

Short video is the most absorbing format the internet has produced. It is also, on most platforms, the most heavily instrumented. Every swipe, pause and rewatch is measured, and much of that measurement exists to sell advertising slotted between the clips you came for.

VOIDEX Orbits is short video with the ad tech taken out. It is the full-screen video feed of VOIDEX, the invite-only, end-to-end encrypted platform owned by CNOTA. You swipe, you watch, you give Energy, you comment. What you do not get is advertising between videos, third-party trackers following you from clip to clip, or a video that quietly carries the location where it was filmed.

What VOIDEX Orbits is

VOIDEX Orbits shows videos from VOIDEX Space full screen, one after another. The videos come from members' Faces and Phantoms: the public identity and the anonymous one that every member of VOIDEX Space has.

The gestures are the ones you would expect:

• Swipe to the next video.
• Double-tap to give Energy, VOIDEX's word for a like.
• Open the comments without leaving the video.

That last point matters more than it sounds. In Orbits, the conversation sits alongside the video rather than pulling you away from it, so watching and talking are part of the same moment.

A feed without ads

There are no ads in VOIDEX Orbits. Not between videos, not disguised as videos, not tucked into the comments. This is not a setting you have to find; it is how VOIDEX works everywhere. VOIDEX runs no third-party trackers or advertising pixels, does not sell data, and does not build an advertising profile of you.

There is a quieter consequence too. Nobody can pay for reach on VOIDEX. No company, advertiser or member can pay to promote a video or place it in front of other people. Brands are welcome on VOIDEX and are treated like every other member, but there are no paid tools that let them outperform creators. A video in Orbits reaches people because people want to watch it.

What still shapes your feed

It would be misleading to say nothing influences what you see. Inside VOIDEX Space, what you view and engage with helps order your own feed, and Orbits is part of that experience. The difference is where that information goes: it never leaves VOIDEX. It is not packaged for advertisers or sold to data brokers, because VOIDEX works with neither. The hidden cargo in every video

Here is something most people never think about. When a phone records a video, it usually writes extra information into the file alongside the pictures and sound. This capture metadata can include:

• GPS location, often precise enough to identify a street or a building.
• Device model, which narrows down who could have filmed it.
• Creation time, down to the moment the recording began.

On many platforms, some or all of that travels with the video when it is shared. Anyone who downloads the file and looks inside can read it. For an ordinary clip filmed at home, that can mean publishing your home address alongside your dance, your dog or your dinner.

For an anonymous identity, it is worse. A Phantom exists so that a person can post without their name attached. A single video carrying the coordinates of where it was filmed could undo that anonymity in one post.

How VOIDEX strips video metadata

VOIDEX removes that cargo before a video becomes public. Videos have their capture metadata, including GPS location, device model and creation time, stripped before a post goes public.

The rule behind it is the important part. If a file cannot be cleaned, it is refused. It is never published raw. That means the protection does not depend on a best effort that sometimes quietly fails: a video either goes public clean or it does not go public at all.

What this does and does not protect

It is worth being precise, because privacy claims should be. Stripping metadata removes the information hidden inside the file. It does not change what is visible in the video itself. A street sign in the background, a recognisable view from a window or a distinctive landmark will still be there for anyone watching. If you are posting as your Phantom, think about what the frame shows as well as what the file carries.

Public posts in VOIDEX Space, including videos in Orbits, are also not end-to-end encrypted, because they are meant to be seen, and VOIDEX labels them as public. When you want to share a video privately, send it through VOIDEX Messenger, where every message, photo, video and voice note is end-to-end encrypted.

Why cleaning happens before publishing

Timing matters here. Metadata removed after a video is already public is metadata that was public for a while, and anyone who saved the file in that window keeps it. VOIDEX strips capture metadata before a post goes public, so there is no window at all. The clean file is the only one anyone else ever sees.

It also matters that this happens on every video rather than as an option. A privacy setting that has to be remembered is a privacy setting that will eventually be forgotten, usually on the one clip where it counted. By making it the rule, VOIDEX removes the decision entirely.

Faces and Phantoms on screen

Because Orbits draws from VOIDEX Space, both identities appear in it. A creator might post polished work under their Face, building a public following, and experiment more freely under their Phantom. Viewers can give Energy and comment as either identity too.

VOIDEX never publishes a link between a Phantom and the person behind it. Phantom content is stored under the Phantom only, and a Phantom's public link can be regenerated at any time. Tips for posting to Orbits

1. Choose your identity first. Face for what you want credit for, Phantom for what you want to say freely.
2. Check the frame, not just the file. VOIDEX strips hidden metadata; only you can decide what the camera shows.
3. Keep private clips private. If a video is for a few people, send it in VOIDEX Messenger instead.
4. Talk in the comments. They open over the video, so the conversation stays with the clip.
