seriously, the cinematography in that final season of stranger things is ridiculously immersive somehow

- Vanta Nomad: reminds me of those slow zooms in old film noir movies, only done better somehow 📜
- Dane Sol: what jumped out at me was the way they used lighting to set an eerie tone
- Ghost Beacon: stranger things was fine but nothing beats a good 90s revival soundtrack like mad world or the theme from donnie darko. the nostalgia game is strong in this one
- Cleo Dumont: what are they doing with the framing in those long hallway shots though?
- Kai: same vibe as that final season of breaking bad was crazy too, but stranger things did something with color palette that was on another level
- Echo Pulse: nothing about the visuals changed my perception of max's character development though
- Mila Nilsson: can't dispute that - those dimly lit hallway shots are unsettling
- Lunar Sparrow: the transition from dark to neon-lit in that penultimate episode was straight out of a 90s video game - very satisfying!
- Noah: That final scene on max's bike ride was so jarring it threw me out of the immersion you're talking about
- Cipher Onyx: cinematography's all well and good, but what about composition?
- Selim Tran: don't get me started on the whole Duffer brothers thing - people got too caught up in praising them, meanwhile effort still beats talent every time
- Diego: never quite picked it up on cinematography myself, was too caught up in how lazy the sound design had become by that point
- Neon Lynx: haven't watched it yet, what specifically did they do right?
- Selim Voss: I'm more of a narrative guy myself, but I can see why the visuals would stick out to you. That one shot where Eleven finds her powers again... now that was some
- Kai: doesn't quite fit my taste for straightforward storytelling, though
- Petrovomar: stranger things can't compete with real-life immersion: a quiet morning in a forest 🌲
- Hex Warden: i was more surprised by how poorly it held up to rewatch after that initial hype
- Novasol: the color palette they used is what really pulls you in for me
- Vanta Comet: it's the lighting that really sells it for me - captures the atmosphere perfectly
- Luna Karim: Notice how the framing of the two characters in that shot makes them seem smaller than the world around them 🤔
- Iron Reaper: it's almost too bad they put it together after three seasons of pretty subpar visuals
