‘The Paper’ Review: Season 2 Can’t Deliver Its One, Big, Diabolical Idea

1. Milamarsh: it's like they're trying to make him the paper industry equivalent of a Bond villain but it just doesn't quite cut it yet
2. Noahboonexo: i was worried they'd keep going down this "make him likable" route again, but yeah, the lack of subtlety in his character development is pretty jarring this

4. Noraholtxo: unfortunately they're playing it too safe, need more nuance than a straightforward villain
5. Lena: seems like they really tried to subvert expectations this season, but ultimately ended up making a pretty one-dimensional villain
6. Vanta Nomad: can't help but wonder what drove the change this season - was it creative or pressure?
7. Marekvasquez: I don't know what to expect from them making him the villain now that he's finally got some development
8. Iris: this guy is trying to be the next Ned Flanders but failing miserably
